We showed up at grandma's today for dinner and one of Lou's cousins showed her a new shirt that was exactly the shirt Lou also got for back to school. Oh - the girls were so excited to have the same shirts and naturally wanted to wear them right then. But Lou's shirt was back at home. In the middle of dinner Lou asked me to take her home to change her clothes. "No," I said. "You can wear your shirts another day." This wasn't the answer she wanted. So she began to ask every other adult eating dinner if they could take her home to get her shirt but she was denied. Then the girls planned to walk together and go get it by themselves but that plan was thwarted by adults. Then Lou decided the only thing to do next was to throw a fit. The fit didn't work though because by the time dessert was being served, she found herself hauled off to go home (but not for the reasons she wished) with her dad (who wanted to go take a nap anyway) and the family fun was over for her.
At home she put the shirt on but dad wouldn't take her back to grandma's! She threw more of her fits for the next hour and even left the house to walk back on her own but her plan was thwarted once again. When I arrived home later in the evening, she was still moping and whining long after her cousin had given up on the idea of being twins for the day. To get her mind off of the twinner obsession we made a family of what I'll call "Fit Busters":

(Patent Pending on Fit Busters.)
And finally she did this while wearing that blasted shirt:

Oh...and she lost her top tooth recently (which made me a little sad), beating Little D who still has baby front teeth.
