There is a colony of snails forming in the park across from my house and I am paying the rent ($.02/snail). Raycito is the landlord. In order to save all the Garys, Larrys, Harrys, Jerrys, and Marys that are populating our garden from being smashed to smitherines*, the kids are moving them out of our yard to a friendlier place. And they are earning money doing it. So far they have earned $.84.
In one day!
That's 42 snails out of my garden in one day!
Perfect summer job.
*On Sunday afternoon, the kids gathered about 10 snails from the yard and brought them in the house and David effectively took them outside and smashed them to smitherines between two paving stones. You would have thought someone died the way Raycito, Little D and Lou fell apart. Oh! The wailing!
