Last Days of Summer, First Day of School

This is the canoe that was brought along camping on the last days of summer.

These are the boys waiting for the canoe.

This is the rock upon which the boys sat.

Grumbling and mumbling while waiting for the canoe.

This is the raft, the hard to steer raft, that was brought along camping.

This is the woman in the hard to steer raft that needed to be towed in by the canoe.

And these are the kids, cousins and buddies, playing on the rocks,

on the last days of summer.

And this is the diner, brought in from the east, where we had sundaes on our way home.

These were our last days of summer.

And these are the pictures, the pictures I took, of the kids on their first day of school.

Lou with her hair curled and pretty.

Little D with his new shirt and haircut.

Raycito sporting sweet new Vans on his feet.

And here is the picture of them going to school together with their backpacks in place and excitement in their faces.

And this is the boy that deleted the pictures of the first day of school.
