2. June: Watchman, Zion National Park
3. July: Sunset, Bryce Canyon National Park
5. September: Kayenta, Dead Horse Point
Kayenta . We were really impressed with the beautiful campground and the stars that night. In fact, Raycito woke up at 3 in the morning to look at the stars at which point he saw an unidentified flying object crash land. The next morning he took me out on a hike (desipite his allergy to hiking) in search of the fallen spacecraft so that he could try to adopt the occupant. He brought a pancake to offer as a treat...but alas, we didn't find the landing spot.
We are pretty sure it must have crashed in here.
This is Dead Horse Point, near Canyonlands and Moab. Why is it called Dead Horse Point? There is a legend that says that cowboys used to round up wild mustangs that roamed on top of the mesa. They could corral them easily on the point. Once, for some reason, horses were left corralled on the point without water and they died of thirst...within view of the Colorado River.
Green River Overlook- impressive puzzle piece plucked out of the landscape.

6. October: Goblin Valley State Park
And then we will rest for a season....
