keeping records

I did pretty good recording events and milestones of the first couple years of my kids. I scrapbooked after developing real film (so much has changed in the last 10 years of my life) and I kept track of all the height and weight changes. I wrote down the funny things the kids did and so forth--but in the past several years I have accumulated stacks of photos un-scrapbooked. I have hundred of digital pictures never developed. I've tried to keep a record with this blog, but I'm getting buried as time goes on. I haven't journaled very much lately and my creativity with writing is waning. I think the best I can do right now is upload pictures and hope they speak for themselves with the limited descriptions I muster up.

Raycito had his last pinewood derby this year. Although his car didn't show up all the other boys, it had a yellow dinosaur secured to the top. My big boy's little boy heart is still in there.




Little D's car had more success. His is the golden one coming in first in this race. He made it to the final six.

Although he didn't win overall he was pretty excited. Oh yah!

I think summer is finally pusing its way through the clouds. Lou is revelling in the warmth and the fresh green of our aspens.





The boys were given magnifying glasses to experiment with. Although I do not condone the death of bugs or setting things on fire by sunlight, I do think using a magnifying glass is an exciting discovery.
