EUREKA!

Today we rode 106 miles on our scooters- from Provo to Eureka and back. I'm a little saddle sore but glad for it. It was one of the first sunny clear days in a long stretch of rain.

Eureka was founded in 1870 in the Tintic Mining District. Now it is pretty much a ghost town. On the main stretch, there are old dilapidated buildings, mining artifacts and Porter Rockwell's son's cabin. The only thing I saw that was open was a small gun shop and a gas station- oh but when we looked inside one of the old buildings, there were a bunch of ladies having a bridal shower. That was weird. Of all the places...

Sixteen scooters set off on the adventure and 15 made it back in one piece. We all feel bad for Sean and his Stella which were both laid down. We are grateful no bones were broken and we hope for Sean's road rash to heal rapidly!
